Erykah Badu and Cookies founder Berner have teamed up to introduce "That Badu," her own strain. The music icon, entrepreneur and Mad Cow Genetics crossbreed is described as an aromatic citrus fragrance that "just helps you get through the day without feeling overexposed."

Cookie storefronts' launch event for the collaboration will take place on International Women's Day (8 March) and feature Badu's range of products. These include ceramic rolling-trays and bongs featuring blue-andwhite designs that are inspired by ancient Qinghua-style ceramics.

Erykah, the Grammy Award-winning Neo Soul icon, is now a cannabis enthusiast. She recently collaborated to introduce her own strain, "The Badu," and a tea set named after her. Cookies' first herbal non-psychoactive mushrooms tea is the Badu Technology Tea developed in partnership with Erykah Badu. Concocted of vanilla- and bergamot-flavored black tea leaves decaffeinated for maximum enjoyment and packed with 10mg CBD/5mg CBG to reduce stress levels and promote relaxation.

Badu's goal for this collaboration was to uphold and empower women. Name and terpene profiles of this strain were inspired by Badu's song "On & On," and her desire for her fans to feel empowered. Ideal for morning rituals, or to help focus throughout the entire day.

Erykah BADU has long been a vocal advocate for women’s right. She's collaborating with Cookies cannabis in honor of Women's History Month to launch That Badu, a premium line designed specifically for women and which will debut at International Women's Day on March 8. A second set of products is scheduled to be launched around Mother's Day on 14 May.

Badu realized her vision for the brand at every stage - research, testing, packaging design. All of her products are decorated with a purple and white motif reminiscent Chinese Qinghua ceramics. Together, they created a product that celebrates the beauty and ritual of cannabis use.

As part of the partnership, Badu has released their first cannabis cultivar. It is a cross between Lemonchello & Jet Fuel Gelato. This can be purchased as eighths & pre-rolls in all Cookies & Lemonnade stores across California starting March 8th.
